I sat in the wooden armchair in the veranda that ran around the colonial house, overwhelmed by the beauty and strength of the subtropical landscape.
It was all about trees and greenery, vivid colours and powerful exotic scents of flowers and precious woods blending together. The natural scents of deep balsam oil and sweet vanilla tree of the garden mingled with the beautiful fruit arrangement generously placed on the table, filled with orange and mandarins and topped with delicate berries.
Leaning on the sandalwood ballustrade overlooking the rose bush, I sipped my tea, breathed in the ambery fragrance trail and felt ready to explore the fragrant exotic forest, up to the promising green hills in the distance.
